37 weeks

This week I am 37 weeks! I went to the Dr. on Monday in hopes of progress! :) As she was checking me, I was looking at her face to see a reaction before there were any words! Then she said.."you are a GOOD 3.5cm dilated and about 80% effaced." My mouth dropped! I could not believe that I had progressed one whole cm in one week. WOW! But the tough news is that she is going out of town for 5 days...sept 23rd-27th, and not just out of town but OUT OF STATE!!!! Gosh, I'm so nervous about that! I have another appointment on Monday and we're going to see if my body has progressed even more. If I've progressed to 4/5cm then she wants to put me in the hospital and see if we can get labor "really" started.
My prayer is that I will have peace about whatever decision is made on Monday, whether it be for me to go into the hospital or to wait a week. And I pray that if it doesn't happen this week, my body will wait for "the time" to be when my Dr is back in town!

35/36 weeks

Last week I was 35 weeks pregnant. I went to see my doctor, for I have started going once a weeks now. She checked me and I was 2cm dilated and 70% effaced. I was soooo excited and I really felt like that 2 mile walk I took 2 days before my appointment really made a difference.

This week I am 36 weeks pregnant. Today I went to the doctor and she checked me again. This time I am at 2.5cm and still 70% effaced. I was a little disappointed, but I know that I still have a few weeks yet. I was just wanting to have made more progress than that. I guess I'm just going to have to get out and make myself walk more than once a week. I was in so much more shape with Capri than I am this time. My doctor mentioned inducing me on the 29th of this month, but I really don't want to be induced! I told her that we would wait til next week to see if my body had made anymore progress. So I guess I need to "get to work!" :)

Please pray that everything will work out and that I will have my doctor when the time is right!

Baby Camel

Gosh, it has been soooooo long since I have posted anything! My last post was in December and then here we are in August...8 months have passed. Now for the updates:
Capri is now 20 months old, which is just so hard to believe how much she is growing into a little girl and isn't a little baby anymore. Don got a different position at the police department as the housing officer. I have started working twice a week with Ben Finch. And the biggest news; we are expecting again! This time it is a little boy and I am now 8 months pregnant! My due date is September 30th, which is just 44 days away! Whew, we've been busy!
We've decided on a name for this little boy; Campbell Nolan Boyd Nation. Campbell is my grandmothers maiden name, Nolan is just a name that Don and I both like, and then Boyd is Don's grandmother's maiden name. We have talked about just calling him Cam for short, but Capri has started saying Camel, so I'm thinking that will be what we call him for a while...."Little Baby Camel!" :)
